Chapters
NCOA's nearly 100 chapters are the foundation of the Association. They are the centers of social interaction among association members, grass-roots benevolent activity, community support and involvement programs.
Association chapters exist worldwide from small towns in the United States to countries like Korea, Germany and Italy; almost everywhere American service members are stationed.
NCOA chapters participate in a variety of national and local activities. Chapter efforts in NCOA's national voter registration program have been responsible for the registration of hundreds of thousands of military personnel, veterans and their families.
Many chapters have followed NCOA's national efforts supporting Special Olympics in their local areas. Over the past three years chapters have provided over 85,000 hours of volunteer support and more than $50,000 to Special Olympics. More than 5,500 hours of volunteer efforts raised over $200,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association while other base and community projects received more than 1.3 million volunteer hours and benefited to the tune of over $4,200,000 in donations.
Chapter Tools
Chapters are required to submit reports (minutes, Treasurer’s Reports, by-laws and trustee Oaths of Office and Codes of Ethics) on a regular basis. While these forms are available by submitting a Supply Requisition Form to NCOA Headquarters, we have also posted them as PDF files for chapter officials to download as needed.
