Veterans Employment Assistance (VEA)

Veterans Employment Assistance (VEA) was established in 1973 to help transitioning military members enter the civilian workforce. While maintain this primary mission, VEA opens its door to all job seekers throughout the world. VEA has assisted over 60,000 veterans find employment.

Presently, VEA has two programs that assist veterans that are seeking employment throughout the world. These programs are The National Job Fair and our internet job board located at www.MilitaryJobWorld.com or www.TheJobLeader.com.

There are no rank restrictions, membership requirements or fees charged to the veterans or civilian job seekers. All job seekers must know that we are not an employment agency or affiliated with the government.

The National Job Fair Program

A typical job fair will attract between 600 - 800 skilled job seekers, and up to 70 local and national companies. In 2007, the VEA hosted 5 job fairs--all in the Continental United States, on military installations or very close to a military installation. In 2008, we will host 8 job fairs. Our 2008 National Job Fair Schedule and Registration Form is available on our job board at www.militaryjobworld.com or click HERE!

The NCOA invites exhibitors representing National Companies, National Training Institutes, United States Armed Forces Recruitment Teams, National Health Care Organizations, Emergency Medical and Medical Recruiters, Federal Government Agencies Recruitment Teams, College Recruitment and Admissions Teams, University Recruitment and Admissions Teams, Local Companies, Staffing Agencies, Local Training Institutes, Local Business Vendors, Small Business/Entrepreneurs, Police Departments, Fire Departments, County Law Enforcement Agencies, and State Law Enforcement Agencies, Federal Law Enforcement Agencies, and International Companies.

The NCOA “Strength in Unity 2008” Job Fair campaign is a direct result of company recruiters and job seekers feedback that NCOA has incorporated. Company recruiter inputs mean that now, more than ever, companies are fine-tuning their hiring process. Companies are looking for candidates with prior military service because of their disciple, training, leadership and managerial skills, and security clearance.

I highly encourage and extend an invitation to all transitioning military personnel, veterans, and family members to one of our job fairs because our participating companies want you!
