NCOA Scholarship Fund

The NCOA Scholarship Fund is one of the most important entities within the Association.  Established in 1970, its single purpose is to help dependents of NCOA members to continue their education beyond high school. To date, the Scholarship Fund has awarded nearly $1.3 million in non-repayable scholarships.

Unfortunately, donations to the NCOA Scholarship Fund have decreased drastically over the past few years.  Due to the decreased number of donations, no NEW scholarships will be awarded for the 2010/11 School Year.  All eligible renewing scholarships will be awarded.

The Scholarship Program is funded entirely through donations from our members and chapters.  The NCOA Scholarship Fund is a certified Texas Non-Profit Corporation, Federal ID # 74-2351587.  The Fund is designated by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) corporation and, as such, all contributions to the Fund are deductible to the extent provided by Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. All donations received are used for scholarships and grants and no administrative or overhead expenses come out of the donations received.
