NCOA will continue holding joint Career Expos with Military.com through the year 2011, in accordance with an agreement forged between officials of both organizations during the NCOA Convention in July.
During the Association’s Opening Ceremony at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas on July 15th, NCOA’s President Gene Overstreet and Military.com’s President and CEO “T” McCreary jointly made the announcement to the membership.
“We are very pleased to have Military.com as our partner in the Career Expo arena,” said Overstreet. “Even though we had a late start in our 2009 schedule, our events, like the one we held yesterday here in Vegas have been getting better every month.”
According to Scoop Davis, NCOA’s Executive Director, 32 events are already scheduled for 2010 and more will be added.
“We have already started sending our 2010 Sponsorship Packages and are very excited about the locations we will be going to next year,” Davis said. “We have also been very pleased with the support we have received all year from Chapters and NCOA members in the areas we have visited. I encourage any NCOA member to e-mail me if they would like to help with an Expo that may be within their area. All events can be found at www.military.com/career-expo.
“Basically, if you have extra time and would like to see this program grow we can use your help,” Davis added. “From marketing the events, to advertising to hands on day of the event support, every NCOA member can help.
