SIR THEODORE TED A. PILIHOS, NCOA BOARD MEMBER
Sir Ted Pilihos is the son of Past Grand Knight Sir Andy Pilihos. Sir Ted was born on August 4, 1958, in Landstuhl, Germany. He graduated from Biloxi Senior High School, in Biloxi, Mississippi in May 1976 and enlisted into the United States Air Force on October 18, 1976. Sir Ted spent twenty nine and a half years on active duty, at various stateside and European theater assignments. While on active duty he served fourteen years in aircraft maintenance to include five years of special duty as a Technical Training Instructor. Following technical training, Ted entered the Professional Military Education arena and served six years as both an instructor and course manager until he was selected to be a First Sergeant. He remained in the First Sergeant career field until his promotion to Chief Master Sergeant and subsequent selection as Command Chief Master Sergeant, 47th Flying Training Wing, Texas. Sir Ted retired from active duty on May 1, 2006. After working three years for a civilian corporation Sir Ted returned to government service for an additional twelve and a half years where he held Program Manager positions at Lackland AFB and Randolph AFB, Texas before fully retiring in February 2022.
Sir Ted has been a member of the Noncommissioned Officers Association since 1984 and has served numerous years in various chapter trustee positions to include chapter chairman. He served one year on the NCOA Board of Directors before resigning due to military commitments. He was dubbed into the order of the NCOA Knights of the Square Table in 1988. He was elevated to the Order of the Sword in 1997, the Order of Excalibur in 2008 and awarded Crusader status in 2010. Sir Ted has served the KST Executive Council since 2006 as either Knight Administrator or Exchequer. He was selected as Grand Knight Elect in 2013 and served as Grand Knight from 2015 to 2017.
While on active duty Sir Ted successfully completed all levels enlisted professional military education and development. He has two associate degrees; one in Instructional Technology and the other in Human Resources and Personnel Administration. He also holds a Bachelor degree in Public Safety Administration and Emergency Management.
Sir Ted is married the former Rosemarie Klotz of Germany. They have two daughters; Rebecca and Christina, three grandchildren; McCoy, Hunter, and Airikah and one great grandson, Tristan.
