About our Medallions and Challenge Coins
The NCOA Medallion Recognition Program was established to honor and commemorate the sacrifices and service of our nation’s Veterans. The program allows for the presentation of medallions to Veterans or their families, recognizing their service and supporting the NCOA’s Scholarship Fund. A portion of each medallion’s proceeds directly benefits the next generation of Veterans and their families to pursue higher education.
We are proud to announce the addition of two new Medallions to our collection:
Cold War Medallion
The Cold War Medallion honors the service of Veterans who served during the Cold War period. This medallion can be presented to Veterans of the Cold War or their families, recognizing their role in maintaining national security during a critical time in history.
Minimum donation of $25 per medallion.

The Persian Gulf War/Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) Medallion honors the service of Veterans who served in the Gulf War or the ongoing Global War on Terrorism. This medallion is available to Veterans and their families as a token of recognition for their sacrifice.

The NCOA Total Force Challenge Coin represents the unity of all Military branches—Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force, which includes all Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard Service Members, Retirees, and Veterans. This Challenge Coin serves as a reminder of the strength, integrity, and service of our Total Force.
Minimum donation of $16 per coin.
