 Dear NCOA Members, As your President, I am honored to serve during this important period of transformation and restructuring for the organization we all love. For more than 40 years, the NCOA has faced many challenges. Through the dedication of our leadership and the continued support of our members, we have remained a relevant and respected voice in the VSO community and in the halls of Congress. With the selection of our new Executive Director, Mr. Levi Sadr, and our focus on strengthening the NCOA from the ground up, I know many of you may be wondering what your leadership is doing and what the future holds. Let me share this with you: April 1, 2026 was a painful day for the NCOA and its legacy. But have no fear—we have faced those difficult times, and the future is bright! I encourage each of you to visit our new website and take time to consider your input and suggestions for improving the NCOA. We need to grow our membership and identify new issues for the NCOA to advocate for. That input must come from you. Your input is the premium fuel that keeps the NCOA engine running. I also ask that you support our social media posts with a simple like and share. Trust me—it goes a long way! Your Board of Directors has been leading by example, by liking, posting and sharing our media post. Our NCOA social media engagement and algorithm data have improved greatly. Your support will help us reach potential new members and introduce them to the NCOA mission. News Flash: You may have received a member verification card in the mail. It is not spam. It is part of the NCOA Oral History Project. Our history is worth preserving, and your story is an important part of the NCOA legacy. I ask that you stay strong and continue looking forward to a strong finish to 2026. I would also like to thank Sir Ted Pilihos for stepping in as Interim Executive Director and helping keep the NCOA moving forward during a critical time. Please also keep our former Executive Director, Sir Joe Terry, in your prayers as he works through medical issues and enjoys a much-needed retirement. We are pleased to welcome a new member to our Board of Directors. Please join me in welcoming Robert Gaff, SSG, U.S. Army (Active). A huge thank-you goes to our media and IT team, Katrina and Kylie; our Legislative Team; and the many volunteers who keep us moving forward.
