Military Times has released its Best for Vets: Colleges 2019. 218 schools received the Best for Vets designation. Excelsior College was ranked No. 3, improving from No. 4 in last year’s rankings of Online and Nontraditional Colleges.
Military Times noted that “Excelsior College had the highest military-student graduation rate of any online and non-traditional school, and also tied for the lowest student loan default rate among schools ranked in this list.” Excelsior was recognized for its small class sizes (16 students on average in a class), having dedicated staff serving military and veterans, and following the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs Principles of Excellence and 8 Keys to veterans’ success.
