Members of the Trails End Auxiliary recently gathered at the home of Barbara Weatherill to make seasonal and holiday gifts for the veteran patients at the Portland VA – pumpkins for October and turkeys for Thanksgiving.
The worker bees were so involved in the project that they neglected to get any photos of themselves but working on the project were: Barbara Weatherill, Bonnie Walizer, Karen Haltiner, Kathy Walsh, and Joanne Ostlund.
Ensuring our hospitalized veterans are not forgotten is something the Trails End Auxiliary members take to heart.  The astounding number of volunteer hours chapter members devote to the Portland VA is a testament to the fact that their efforts truly are labors of love.
