The Spring Special Olympics for Area 22 was...  The Spring Special Olympics for Area 22 was held once again at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU). There were more than 900 Special Olympics participants. Volunteers (high school students, lead participants, announcers, event staff, and SVSU students that helped set up the event) outnumbered the Special Olympians. There were more than 2,500 people at the event. A special thanks to Ronald McDonald and McDonald restaurants who furnished the food and fed everyone in 30 minutes.
