NCOA Down East Chapter #906 Vice Chairman Alex “Gunner” Nevgloski Sr. and Trustee Tim Manchester presented a Certificate of Excellence to Team Chevrolet of Swansboro, NC. The award was presented for loyalty and patriotism to our country by publicly and proudly displaying the American Flag.
February 9, 2019 – Members from NCOA Down East Chapter #906 held their Pig Pickin Scholarship Fundraiser. The event took place at the Swansboro Moose Lodge 1425 in Swansboro, NC. We would like to thank the many supporters who made this event a success.

Congratulations to Tim Manchester on being selected as the Jacksonville Outstanding Veteran of the Year 2018 for the Non Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA) Down East Chapter #906. Tim Manchester retired as a Sergeant Major of the United States Marine Corps. He served as the Chapter Webmaster/Public Relations Officer since 2016 and was instrumental in the establishment of the Chapter’s first ever Facebook and webpage, which has greatly increased the NCOA’s presence in Jacksonville. He volunteered more than 100 hours of his personal time during 2018 to the NCOA Down East Chapter.
February 22, 2019 – NCOA Down East Chapter Chairman Paul Miethker and Secretary Luis Alers presented awards to the Marine Corps Installation-East NCO of the Year 2018 Cpl Jason Jamieson; Marine of the Year 2018 LCpl Connor Gibson; Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, NC, Senior Sailor of the Year 2018 HM1 Erin Best; Sailor of the Year 2018 HM2 Cesar Bidorosa; Junior Sailor of the Year HM3 Korina Hyde Mabile; and Blue Jacket of the Year 2018 HM3 Anthony Anglikowski. The presentations took place at the annual Marine Corps Installations-East Commanding General Awards Breakfast aboard Camp Lejeune, NC, at the Paradise Point Officers’ Club.
