Jacksonville, FL – You’re never too old to become a member of NCOA and add your voice to ours when we go to Capitol Hill to fight for the rights and benefits for our enlisted military and their families.
U.S. Navy veteran Chief Ellis T. Pope, a veteran of World War II, is one of NCOA’s newest life members as well as the recipient of the NCOA World War II Honor and Legacy Medallion.  Chief Ellis will be celebrating his 102nd birthday on September 12th.  NCOA Board Member Michael Sklar and Vanguard Life Member Lester “Woody” Wooten recruited Chief Pope as a member of the Association.  Upon learning Chief Pope was a World War II veteran, NCOA Headquarters provided an NCOA World War II Honor and Legacy Medallion for presentation to him.
